When the King Took Flight

Someone needs to turn this book into a stylish A24 style thriller that takes place over a single night. The book does provide excellent historical background of the French Revolution and key players (my dream would be to see members of The French Assembly vogueing to SNAP’s I’ve Got The Power in said A24 adaptation). The main event of this book, however, is the doomed escape plot on the part of the French Royals. And though, as a reader, you know that ultimately they’ll fail (see: off with her head!), it’s still a gripping page-turner.
