Traveled down a deep, gorgeous rabbit hole last summer with Sylvester after watching the excellent PBS series on disco. Also highly rec Sylvester's iconic live album with the SF War Memorial Opera House, particularly their performance of (You Make Me Feel) Mighty Real

But these recently released private recordings of a then 22-year-old Sylvester, sifting through intimate renditions of jazz, blues, and gospel, pretty much takes my breath away. Queer hymns for a quiet Sunday morning.
